Tunisian - Egyptian high committee to meet in March

The high joint committee between Egypt and Tunisia holds it sixth session in Cairo on March 14 under the head of both countries' prime ministers, Kamal El-Ganzori and Hamed Karoui, respectively.

The committee will consider new agreements to enhance cooperation between the countries, and implement 30 signed agreements in different fields.

Meanwhile the volume of commercial exchange between Egypt and Tunisia has reached $75 million over the past three years, and aims to reach $200 million by the year 2000. This improvement came through supporting private sector activities and meetings of the Egyptian - Tunisian works' council.

The joint committee will discuss all the suggested issues between the two countries, including their joint stance toward peace issues, situations developing in the region, refusing military strikes against Iraq, and resisting terrorism.
