Vatican stresses Jerusalem as capital of the three divine religions

Cardinal Angelo Sodano, the Vatican's secretary of state, on Thursday said in a message addressed to the chief of the Vatican's apostolic delegation in Jerusalem, "Jerusalem, claimed as a capital by two peoples and as the homeland of the heart for the believers of three religions, is still, unfortunately, a motive for lasting rivalries, as well as violence and exclusivistic claims."
