Lebanese president on Israel's withdrawal from the south

Lebanese President Elias Hrawi reiterated Lebanon's call for the implementation of UN resolution 425, providing for Israel's withdrawal from occupied territories. United Nations Resolution 425 calls for Israel's unconditional withdrawal from Lebanese territories that it know occupies.

During his meeting with a delegation from the Editors' Union on Wednesday, President Hrawi refused to comment on the latest proposals concerning the resolution 425.

Hrawi stressed that Lebanese resistance will proceed until the Israeli occupation of Lebanese lands comes to an end.

Meanwhile, Lebanese foreign minister Fares Boueiz, In a statement to the Saudi daily Okaz published on Wednesday, stated that the escalation by the Lebanese resistance forces in the south against the Israeli occupation is the main reason for the Israeli talks about withdrawing from south Lebanon.
