China, Yemen sign cooperation agreements

China and Yemen have signed two trade agreements in the course of strengthening bilateral trade relations and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Xinhua, the Chinese news agency, said the first agreement provides for setting up a joint project for iron and steel between China and Yemen at a cost of US $7 million and the second for exporting Chinese equipment worthy US $1 million for a glass factory in Yemen.
Meanwhile, the Chinese-Yemeni trade exhibition opened on Monday with the participation of 50 Yemeni businessmen and 100 of their Chinese counterparts.
The value of trade relations between the two countries has reached US $751 million, comprising Chinese imports from Yemen valued at US $101 million and exports to Yemen valued at US $650 million.
