Egyptian claim demands compensation for POW deaths

The appeals court in Mornsura is to examine a claim by Dr. Ahmed Maher Ezz, Ph.D in economics, at Zagazig university against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, demanding that Netanyahu pay $10 billion in reparations for for mass killings of Egyptian prisoners of war during the wars of 1956, 1969 and 1973.
In his claim, Dr. Ezz relied on the Hague charter of war and the Geneva Convention in August 1949 for standards on treatment of prisoners of war, in addition to statements by several Israeli generals to Israeli newspapers in September 1995, saying they carried out mass killings against Egyptian prisoners of war.
Retired Israeli colonel Rebe Pery in his comments said that he witnessed 13 massacres Egyptian prisoners of war.
