Swedish Foreign Minister: We do not believe in wars

Swedish Foreign Minister Lena Hjelm-Wallen left Amman after a three-day official visit to Jordan. In the course of her visit, she met with Jordan's King Hussein, Crown Prince Hassan, Prime Minister Dr. Abdul-Salam al-Majali and Foreign Minister Fayez al-Taraunah.
Bilateral relations, the methods to promote them and the current Iraqi governmental crisis with the UN Security Council were discussed.
Swedish Foreign Minister confirmed that the points of view of both Jordan and Sweden concerning the necessity of finding a peaceful solution for Iraqi governmental crisis with the UN, were identical.
"We do not set aside any military operation," she told the reporters at Amman airport before she left to her country, "but we shall do the utmost of what we can to avoid any military operations."
"I visited the region to help to retrack the peace process," she pointed out.
Jordan's foreign minister reaffirmed that her visit reflected the good relations between both Jordan and Sweden.
"We discussed bilateral relations and the methods to promote them," al-Taraunah said. "We consider our relations as strategic," he stated.
