Iraqi-Jordanian trade relations reviewed

Jordan's Prime Minister Abdul Salam al-Majali on Sunday reviewed with Iraqi Minister of Trade Muhammad Mahdi Saleh bilateral trade, economic relations and the works of the Jordanian-Iraqi joint commission.
During the meeting al-Majali stressed Jordan's desire to continue peaceful efforts to defuse the Iraqi crisis with the UN and the implementation of international resolutions as so to lift UN sanctions and ease the sufferings of the Iraqi people.
Earlier in the day, the Iraqi minister discussed with the Jordanian minister of transport and communications cooperation between the two countries in the fields of transport and using Aqaba port in Jordan for Iraqi imports and to revive the activities of the Iraqi-Jordanian joint land transport company.
