Kuwait prepares hospitals in case of war

Kuwait is presently preparing for a complete state of war. Kuwaiti hospitals have started to implement exercises to prepare for any disaster caused by the current political crisis between the U.S. and Iraq.
The manger of the medical emergency department in the Health Ministry, Dr. Mohammed Al.Sharhan, said that in a disaster, the minister will be able to provide 600 beds in one hour in different hospitals and this number could be increased to 1,000 beds within 24 hours.
He said, "We also have 45 equipped ambulances in the case of emergency and disaster." Kuwait announced that its medical position is very safe and that it has a supply of medications sufficient for 5 months.
