Kuwait: We want diplomatic solution and coordination

Kuwaiti Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Abdul Aziz al-Dakhil arrived in Damascus on Wednesday, carrying a communique to President Hafez al-Assad from the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Jaber al-Ahmad al-Sabah.
He said that conditions in the region, particularly the Iraqi crisis with UN inspectors, require consultation and coordination.
Al-Dakhil noted the Kuwaiti Cabinet's statement Wednesday of support for diplomatic efforts to solve the crisis and the international community's insistence that Iraq implement relevant Security Council resolutions.
On Monday, Kuwaiti Information Minister Sheikh Saud Nasser al-Sabah expressed his hope that the Iraqi crisis will be resolved through diplomatic and peaceful means.
