Lebanese resistance escalates operations against Israeli troops

Israeli occupation forces on Wednesday continued attacks against several areas south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery in the occupied sector of South Lebanon pounded al-Rayhan heights Sujoud, al-Rafai mountain and al-Litani river bed. Also, Israeli forces prevented the people of al-Hebareyah in al-Arqoub from leaving their town.

Meanwhile, the Lahd's militia hit the house of Lebanese detainee Marwan Kanaan in the occupied town of Shabaa and damaged its contents. The Israeli-backed militia established a checkpoint at the eastern entrance of the town and closed Zamraya crossing.

On Wednesday, the Lebanese resistance at noon ambushed a Lahd's militia gathering at the entrance of Zamtaya positions and scored direct hits.

Meanwhile, seven Israeli soldiers were wounded in an accident in the occupied part of south Lebanon while riding in an Israeli AM-13 personnel carrier. Sources said that the wounds of five soldiers are serious, and Israel besieged Maroun al-Ras town where the incident took place.
