Egyptian Commercial Bureau in Baghdad looks for Iraqi ministries' needs

The Egyptian Commercial Bureau in Baghdad has begun communications with Iraqi officials in various ministries to get acquainted with these ministries' requirements for goods and to assess filling those needs through Egyptian companies.
Ahmed Khaled Hamdi, the head of commercial representation said the Commercial Bureau obtained the bids through the Iraqi government.
Ahmed Goweili, the Egyptian minister of supply and trade, issued instructions to resume the Commercial Bureau's activity, in order to take up economic and commercial tasks in Iraq, all within the limits of the UN-brokered oil-for-food program that entered its third stage an January 7.
The deal gives Iraq the right to export oil worth $2 billion every 6 months to fund the import of medicine, food substances, and other humanitarian supplies.
