Egypt, Belarus discuss relations

Official talks between Egypt and Belarus were held Tuesday at the Foreign Ministry headquarters, headed by Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and his Belarussian counterpart Ivan Antonovich, during which they tackled ways of developing and supporting bilateral relations in all fields, especially commercial and economic fields.
In a joint press conference following the talks, Moussa said the Belarussian foreign minister's visit is a step toward enhancing bilateral, political and cultural relations between the two countries. Moussa also said he had reviewed the Middle East situation, especially the current Iraqi crisis and the deadlocked peace process, pointing out that they had signed an agreement for continuing consultation between the countries' Foreign Ministries for creating a new stage of a strong cooperation.
Antonovich said his country is greatly concerned with its relations with Egypt, adding that they had exchanged views about the international situations and critical issues in the international arena. He expressed his hope to establish greater cooperation between Egypt and Belarus.
