Lebanon, Politics, 2/11/1998
Bulgaria's defense minister on Tuesday said his country and Lebanon have achieved major strides towards strengthening bilateral defense cooperation.
The Bulgarian Telegraph agency quoted the minister, following his meeting with his visiting Lebanese counterpart Mohsin Dalloul, as saying that he proposed to the Lebanese sides several ways to foster military economic and medical cooperation.
Dalloul said Lebanon does not want heavy weapons, but light weapons for defense purposes. He added that in addition to cooperation in the military field, he discussed with his Bulgarian counterpart bilateral relations in the political, economic and trade domains.
