Jordan will not allow its territories to be used to strike Iraq
Jordan, Politics, 2/11/1998
Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Abdullah al-Nusour reaffirmed that Jordan would not allow any party under any circumstances to use its territory if Iraq was attacked.
Regarding a possible Iraqi missile attack against Israel and the reaction that might follow, Dr. al-Nusour said, "Jordan will not accept any missile attack to be launched" across its borders.
"It is violating our sovereignty and exceeds our policies," he said in an interview. "We would not allow our territories and airspace to be used as passages by fighting enemies," he said.
