Iraqi minister praises Saudi stances
Iraq, Politics, 2/10/1998
Iraqi Minister of Justice Shabib al-Malki today praised Saudi Arabia's refusal to allow use of Saudi bases to launch military strikes against Iraq and viewed this stand as a positive development.
In an interview with the BBC today al-Malki said he hoped officials in Bahrain and Kuwait would take a decision similar to that taken by Saudi Arabia not to allow US warplanes to strike an Arab state like Iraq.
The Iraqi official denied the US accusations against Iraq, stressing that Iraq has carried out all obligations pertaining to UN Security Council resolutions.
