Organization of Arab Labor calls for Arab labor charter

Bakr Mohamoud Rasoul, the general director of the Arab Labor Organization, confirmed his report will be presented to the Arab labor conference in Luxor this March. The report deals with globalization and its social effects as well as the importance of implementing a methodical policy for Arab technical cooperation to be done through the support of Arab experts and expanding participation in comprehensive development.

He added that the week-long conference will discuss the effect of terrorist operations on issues of labor, development and Arab projects as well as the issues of rights and union freedoms. The conference will also discuss methods of developing working inspection systems and ratifying plans for the organization's activity and its foundations in training, labor, culture, safety, vocational health and protecting women and child laborers.

The Arab Labor Organization asked Arab countries to ratify an agreement and joint labor charter to guarantee the protection of Arab labor markets from the effects of globalization and universal blocs.
