Questions over radiation in Jordan's soil

Responding to deputies' questions in a session of the Jordanian Lower House, Minister of Administrative Development Dr. Abdullah al-Nusour denied the existence of nuclear radiation in Jordan's soil.
"The laboratory survey confirmed the nonexistence of such radiation," al-Nusour said. The session was headed by Lower House Speaker Engineer Sa'd Hayil al-Surour, Prime Minister Abdul-Salam al-Majali, and the Cabinet.
Dr. Abdullah al-Agailah, a deputy, stated that he had studies certifying the existence of radiation in samples of soil from the Jordanian North and South. "It endangers human lives," al- Algailah said. He called for a other organizations to confirm that civilians do not suffer from the radiation.
