3000 journalists descend on Morocco for General Motors conference

The American General Motors group started its international conference which is last for five weeks in Morocco, and during which the company will discuss its next international strategy.
20,000 GM agents from all over the world will participate in a series of symposiums, held for the first time in an Arab country, and 3,000 journalists will cover the conference's activities.
Sources said that the participants will arrive in Morocco at a rate of 600 - 800 persons daily to hold business sessions. The participants are also expected to benefit from tourist programs.
The German company Opel, owned by GM, will also participate.
General Motors intends to establish an industrial unit in Tangier in northern Morocco.
