Algerian government, parliament discuss security situation

The national public council, along with the government and heads of six parliamentary factions, began a general discussion concerning the security situation in Algeria.

After intensive consultations yesterday between the council bureau, the government, and parliamentary faction heads, all agreed to start discussions on 3 main points: the failure of Algerian foreign policy in repulsing verbal attacks on Algeria and attempts to interfere in Algeria's interior affairs, the Algerian media's incapability of reflecting true events in Algeria, and finally Algeria's economic deterioration.

Government ministers will address these issues during the discussions.
