Turkish military official visits Israel to discuss Iraq crisis

General Hussein Kyorek Oghlo, the head of Turkish land forces, started a three-day visit to Israel aimed at enhancing military cooperation between the two countries.
Kyorek and his Israeli counterpart are discussing the Iraqi crisis with the United Nations, and ways of confronting Iraq should Iraq fire missiles toward Israel and Turkey.
In the presence of Yitzhak Mordechai, Israel's minister of defense, the Turkish military official will visit the Israeli land forces headquarters aling with other military sites.
Oghlo discusses Turkey's possibility of buying Israel Merkava tanks and participating in the manufacture of 1,000 Merkava - 3 tanks and Israeli missiles.
