Egyptian activity to suppress terrorism
Egypt-Yemen, Politics, 2/7/1998

Cairo will see intensive security activity during the coming days aimed at terrorism and holding bilateral meetings to exchange affirmations. A visit is underway by the Greek Minister of Interior, heading a large security delegation.

Egypt and Yemen are trying to overcome the difficulties which faced the two countries in approving a security agreement. On Tuesday the deputy of the Yemeni Ministry of Interior, Colonel Mohammed Mather, will visit Cairo heading a security delegation to hold talks with Egyptian officials.

Informed sources said that the Yemeni delegation's visit comes according to an agreement between Egyptian Minister of Interior Habib El-Adli and his Yemeni counterpart Hussein Arab reached during a meeting on January 5 within the meetings of ministers interior in Tunisia.

The Yemeni minister of interior confirmed that his country cooperates with Egypt in confronting terrorism.
