Cairo confirms its commitment towards Sudan's sovereignty

Cairo confirmed its commitment to and respect for Sudanese sovereignty and the importance of combining efforts to achieve a Sudanese reconciliation and to terminate the fighting in Sudan. Sudanese sources told ArabicNews.com that the Egyptian authorities did not show any approval for the Sudanese opposition's demand to meet Asisas Afworki, the Eritrean president, during his current visit to Cairo, which was delayed two times.
Egyptian diplomatic sources confirmed the importance of respecting good relationships among countries and not to interfere in the interior affairs. The source also said that the Sudanese - Eritrean dispute could be solved if intentions were purely sincere and that Cairo supports good relations among neighboring countries.
The Eritrean president is visiting Cairo after his visit to Libya, which handled Sudan's case within the Libyan efforts to achieve reconciliation between Eritrean and Sudan and to terminate the war in Sudan.
Libya and Eritrea issued a common statement at the conclusion of Afworki's' talks in Tripoli, in which they confirmed the Arabian - African cooperation in the economic fields.
