Syrian, Iranian committee met on developing trade

The Syrian-Iranian joint committee on Wednesday evening concluded deliberations at the Ministry of Economy in Damascus. An agreement was reached by the two sides to increase and develop commercial exchange and implement the items of the previous understanding memorandum related to Adra and Hama cement plants.
The agreement also provides for the expansion of Tartous cement plant, production of fire bricks in Syria, establishment of a joint Syrian - Iranian iron and steel mill and a joint company to manufacture engines.
