Jordanian FM informs Parliament on Iraqi crisis development

Jordan's Foreign Minister Fayez al-Tarauneh on Monday briefed the Parliament's Arab Affairs Committee on developments in the Iraq-US crisis and its consequences on the region in general and Jordan in particular, noting contacts carried out by Jordan in this respecd.
He also briefed the committee on measures to be taken by Jordan in case a confrontation is to take place between Iraq and the US.
In statements following the parliament's meeting, al-Tarauneh said he conveyed the Jordanian viewpoint concerning the crisis to ambassadors of UN Security Council permanent member states when he summoned them, and learnt from them their country's position in this respect. Al-Tarauneh added that the Turkish ambassador in Amman informed him about the mission the Turkish foreign minister will carry out during his visit to Baghdad.
