Lebanese resistance attack Israeli positions

Lebanese national resistance forces on Monday attacked a joint Israeli-Lahd militia security procession. The resistance said in a statement that it observed the procession when it tried to enter Beer Klab position. Then, a resistance group attacked a white Mercedes in the procession using rockets and machine-guns.

In another statement also released on Monday the resistance said Israeli troops and allied militia were seen making moves inside Dabshe position Sunday night. The position was hit by resistance-men. Earlier in the day, the Israeli occupation forces escalated attacks against al-Tuffah district in south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said Israeli artillery, mortars, tanks, and rockets shelled the surroundings of Jebaa, Jarjou, and Lueizeh towns as well as the mountains of Sujud and Safi and al-Tasse river bed.

The shelling was accompanied by a mopping-up operation carried out by Israeli heavy machine-guns. Israeli pilotless planes and copter gunboats meanwhile flew over the western sector area. Military warplanes were seen flying over south Lebanon areas. Israeli planes carried out several provocative raids over Nabatieh and al-Tuffah district areas. Israeli spy planes were also seen making sorties into south Lebanon airspace.

At 10.30 a.m. (local time) Monday, Lebanese resistance-men ambushed by rockets and machine-guns and Israeli infantry force in Kassarat al-Urosh area. The Israeli troops fired smoke shells at the surrounding area in order to evacuate its soldiers.
