Syrian Golan citizens clashed with Israeli soldiers
Syria, Politics, 2/3/1998
Reports from the occupied Syrian Golan Heights said clashes erupted between Syrian citizens of the Golan and Israeli occupation soldiers during the Eid al-Fitr holidays, SANA said.
The reports added that Israeli soldiers instigated the clashes by felling thousands of apple tress in areas of Mas'ada and Bouqata as a sign that they would expropriate these lands, SANA added.
Al-Quds Press, published in the occupied Palestinian territories, said Syrian citizens pelted Israeli occupation soldiers with stones, assaulted occupation forces centers in Mas'ada village and clashed with occupation soldiers. Clashes resulted in wounding some Syrian citizens. Tension is still prevailing throughout the occupied Syrian Golan, the reports said, SANA added.
