Mubarak to receive chairman of European Commission

Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak will receive the chairman of the European Commission Jacques Santer who will arrive in Cairo on Friday for a two-day visit.
On official responsible in the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, told ArabicNews.com that talks between Mubarak and Santer will tackle Egyptian - European participation, developments in the Middle East, and enhancing the bilateral relationships between Egypt and the European Union.
The source said that these talks will advance the policy to accomplish the participation, negotiation between the EU and Egypt, and signing the agreement as well as two financial agreements.
During his visit, Santer will meet with Egyptian Prime Minister Dr. Kamal El-Ganzouri, Foreign Minister Amr Moussa, the ministers of the agriculture, finance, economy and international cooperation, education, health and business sectors.
Moreover, Miguel Moratinos, the European envoy for the peace process, will arrive in Cairo on Saturday within the EU's efforts to advance the peace process.
