The celebrations of the Lesser Bairam in the Arab and Islamic world

Millions of Muslims celebrated yesterday the first day of the Lesser Bairam. The Islamic cities witnessed diverse celebrations after the end of the month of Ramadan.
Arab leaders exchanged greetings. While the Middle East peace process has reached an impasse, the Israeli President sent the Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat a message of greeting.
In Baghdad, the first greetings that came out of the Iraqi presidential palace were from President Saddam Hussein to Iranian President Mohammed Khatami.
