34 civilians killed in new massacres; 18 terrorists killed by security forces

Algerian security forces said 34 civilians were killed in new massacres in Algeria by armed attackers in the areas of Gafla, Al Aghwat, and Al Beleida. The statement also said security forces killed 18 members of the armed groups.

Meanwhile, Algeria confirmed the news of the visit of the parliamentary delegation of the European Union between February 8-12.

Algerian President Zeroual received messages from South African President Nelson Mandela, the President of Congo Loran Kapila, and the President of Ethiopia Negaso Dedaow in which they expressed their condolences for the victims, and their condemnation of the massacres and also their support of the Algerian government's efforts to achieve stability.
