Iranian, Iraqi presidents to meet after feast

The Jordanian daily Arabs today on Monday said, quoting well-informed sources in the Iraqi Shiite opposition in Iran, that Iraqi President Saddam Hussein and Iranian President Muhammad Khatami will meet in Shalmaja border district following al-Fitr Feast.
The sources did not fix a date for the meeting, which, if it happens, will be the first Iraqi-Iranian summit following the victory of the Islamic revolution in Iran.
The sources said the idea of the two Presidents meeting was debated during the recent Islamic summit held in Tehran. It was also discussed during the recent one-week visit of Iraqi Foreign Minister Muhammad al-Sahaf to Iran.
