Tantawi, Kurtzer meet over peace

The new US envoy to Cairo yesterday said Egypt and the US would join hands so that peace would reign over the whole Middle East.
Daniel Kurtzer made the pledge during a meeting with Shiekh Muhammad Sayed Tantawi, the grand Imam of Al-Azhar mosque, (the high ranking clergyman), who urged Washington to make use of its enormous potential to promote peace in the region, Al-Wafd daily reported.
Al-Azhar is the Muslim nation's oldest seat of learning and guidance.
