The US General Motors Group will hold its annual conference in Morocco
Morocco, Business, 1/28/1998

The US General Motors Group will hold its annual conference in Morocco next month. The conference will be attended by 20,000 company representatives from all over the world.

The group intends to strengthen its presence in the Moroccan market though inaugurating its international branch "Delvi Automotives Systems."

The Delvi company said it will invest $18 million in setting up two units that will manufacture fiber glass and some electronic appliances used in manufacturing cars in local markets. The group will set up those projects in Tangier and Casablanca.

Moroccan sources said the group had obtained the approval of the Moroccan authorities and that the declaration establishing the projects will be concurrent with the annual meeting of the group, which is the second most important economic conference witnessed by the country since the signing of GATT in 1994.
