The head of the European delegation visiting Cairo

President Hosni Mubarak will meet with Jacques Santer, the head of a delegation affiliated with the European Union, during Santer's two-day official visit in February at the beginning of his tour of the Middle East region. Santer will meet with Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal El-Ganzouri, Foreign Minister Amr Moussa and businessmen.
The discussions will include Egyptian relations with the European Union and peace process procedures, in addition to the Egyptian and European Union roles in the Middle East peace process.
Santer will pay a visit to Luxor during which he will meet its governor. He will also hold meetings with tourist companies and he will study the European Union's enterprises.
Santer's regional tour will also include stops in Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, the Palestinian self-rule territories and Israel.
