Emirate donations for Iraq: $2 million in 2 days

The United Arab Emirates have resumed their campaign to gather donations for the Iraqi children, and are in the second day of the campaign organized by the Emirate Red Crescent society.
Fatma bent Mobarak, the wife of UAE President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan had donated two million dirhams and another group of women, members of the ruling family, donated two million dirhams, for a total of 4 million dirhams.
Donations in the campaign's first two days were 6.815 million dirhams ($1.9 million).
Isah El-Sweedi, the manager of the red crescent association, said the campaign will be resumed after the Lesser Bairam and it will be on the level of ministries, governmental corporations and all sectors in the UAE.
