Palestinian aviation Arish airport
Palestine, Business, 1/22/1998
The Palestinian national airline has started operating regular flights from Al-Arish airport in north Sinai, company sources said yesterday.
They added that the airport authority had offered administrative offices and a ground service station to the new airline.
Maintenance and aviation services are offered to Palestinian flights by the Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority and the Egyptian national carrier, Egypt Air.
An official at the Palestinian liaison office in Arish said the company was operating two daily flights, with a 148-passenger capacity, to Saudi Arabia, carrying Muslims to perform the minor pilgrimage (Umra) in Mecca.
The company, the official said, also operates weekly flights to Amman International Airport to fly passengers to and from the Palestinian self-rule areas.
