Egyptian defense minister warns against disruption of Middle East military balance

Egyptian Defense Minister Lt. Gen. Hussein Tantawi on Tuesday said the Egyptian army's strategic tasks aim to protect national security and support Arab states.
In a statement Tuesday, Tantawe warned against the grave consequences of military alliances in the region and the disruption of the military balance in the Middle East, SANA reported.
