Kirbeini Kawanin appointed as deputy

Sudanese President Omar al-Bashir on Thursday appointed Kirbeini Kawanin as deputy chairman of the coordination council in South Sudan.
Kawanin, who is affiliated with the largest tribe in south Sudan, Dinka, has established the rebel group "Army for the Liberation of Sudan" in 1985 before he was expelled by John Garang from the leadership of his movement.
The Sudanese dailies said that Kawanin, who comes from Bahr el-Gazelle has succeeded in convincing thousands of Sudanese rebels to join with the government.
