Syrian troops to withdraw from Lebanon in due time

Lebanese daily Nidaa al-Watan, in its editorial, said that the US congressional delegation currently visiting the region quoted Syrian President Hafez al-Assad as confirming that Syrian troops will withdraw from Lebanon when there is a need for that.
The paper added that American circles noted the possibility of removing Syria's name from its list of terrorism-sponsoring states after its name was removed from the drug-trafficking list.
