Arab countries study activating Arab - European dialogue

The permanent envoys to the Arab League met at AL headquarters of the to study means of activating the Arab-European dialogue. The assistant to the Secretary-General of the Arab League for the Political and International Affairs, Ambassador Mohamed Zaharya Ismail, stated that the meeting aims to study relations between Arab and European countries in light of the regional and international developments witnessed by the region.

He added that another meeting will be held to continue the discussions in order to assess the future of those relations.

He said that the Arab League subcommittee that includes foreign ministers and permanent envoys had studied many reports on Arab-European dialogue. He said that what is required is to organize inter-Arab relations first, then to determine Arab strategic goals and priorities.
