Automatic security at Egyptian Museum

The installation of the new automatic security system in the Egyptian Museum will be operational next month, said Minister of Culture Farouk Hosni.
The LE 1 million (about $3 million US) security system has been implemented during the past fourteen months.
The around-the-clock system includes 190 cameras and burglar alarms in the museum's main halls, entrances and exits, windows and yard.
The cameras will be connected to special control rooms. Installing this advanced security system in Egypt's most important archaeological museum, comes as part of the L.E 1 billion (about $300 million US) plan adopted by the government to secure Egyptian museums against fires and burglaries, Al-Anbaa daily reported.
