Tourists flocking back to Egypt

Fifteen chartered and regular flights (10 international and 5 domestic) arrived at Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport on Tuesday carrying up to 681 passengers from different countries to visit archaeological sites there.

Meanwhile, the British cruiser Pacific Prince anchored yesterday in Alexandria harbor, carrying 348 passengers from western Europe.

The tourists will tour archaeological sites in the governorate.

Meanwhile, four regular fights arrived by Aswan airport last Wednesday carrying about 400 tourists. About 350 tourists jetted from Aswan to Abusimble.

Aswan airport is expected to receive another four regular flights from Cairo airport with 550 passengers on board today flying to Hurghada.

As many as 30,000 tourists from Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, Russia, France and Britain attended the New Year and Christmas festival in the city, Al-Ahram daily.
