Iraqi poet in a Syrian symposium

The Syrian al-Wahdah (Unity) establishment for press and publications recently hosted a symposium with Iraqi poet Abdul Wahab al-Bayyati.
The participants spoke highly of al-Bayyati's poetry and its influence on successive Arab generations. The symposium tackled subjects addressed by the great Iraqi poets, including women, the homeland and freedom.
