Bahrain for a new page with Iraq
Gulf-Iraq, Politics, 1/13/1998
Bahraini Foreign Minister Sheikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak al-Khalifa has asserted that the Gulf Cooperation Council states have a united stand concerning Iraq, a stand adopted during the recent GCC summit in Kuwait.
In a statement to the Bahraini daily Gulf News issued on Monday, Sheikh Mubarak called upon Iraq to abide by UN resolutions so its santions can be lifted.
"We regret the sufferings of the people of Iraq, refuse intervention in the internal affairs of Iraq and its partition," he said.
