Five Israelis and a Lebanese woman wounded in bombardment

Israeli occupation forces on Thursday continued aggressions against areas adjacent to the occupied sector of the South. Lebanese security sources said the occupation artillery shelled al-Tuffah district areas, especially al-Jabal al-Rafi, Sujud and al-Reihan hills.

Israeli artillery also shelled the outskirts of the towns of Yater, Zabkin, Haris, Hdatha and Eita al-Jabal. Seventy shells were reported to be fired on the area. Meanwhile, Israeli gunboats chased Lebanese fishermen off the shores of Tyre, forcing them to flee.

Hizbullah guerrillas from the resistance group named for Ibrahim Eliq and Muhammad Hamadeh detonated a roadside bomb in an Israeli-occupied border strip of south Lebanon, wounding three Israeli soldiers and an Israeli cameraman. The bomb went off as an Israeli patrol traveled on the Ein Ebel road, the sources said.

The cameraman, Shlomi Afriat, was badly wounded but was still able to capture footage of the bombing, an Israeli army spokesman said in Jerusalem. A similar explosion also injured an Israeli-allied militiaman from the South Lebanon Army, the spokesman added.

Israeli retaliatory shelling wounded a 50-year-old Lebanese woman in Qlayleh, the security sources said. Latifeh Qubaisi was injured when an Israeli shell crashed near her home, a few kilometers north of the Israeli border.

Hizbullah claimed responsibility for both roadside bomb attacks against Israeli and SLA troops.

Also on Thursday, Israeli occupation forces closed Beit Yahoun crossing in the central sector, thereby preventing citizens from move to and from the occupied part of the South.
