Yemen: mediation between Egypt and Qatar

Egyptian - Qatari relationships have again become strained after the reconciliation brokered by Saudi Arabia, and now Yemen is attempting a new mediation effort to clear the air between the two countries.
Yemeni foreign minister Abd al-Karim al-Iryani referred to Yemen's constant concern over this issue, and said Yemen would exert efforts to mend rifts between any two Arab countries.
Qatar was the first Gulf country to resume its relationship with Yemen after the Gulf War. Qatar also supports Yemen's bid to join the Gulf Cooperation Council, as Yemen is one of the peninsula's countries.
