Egypt rejects ME market plan

President Mubarak's advisor for Political affairs Dr. Osama El-Baz has stressed rejection of the idea of a Middle Eastern market. SANA said from Cairo that in statements published on Saturday by Egyptian dailies, El-Baz voiced total support for the idea of the common Arab market which should precede any regional blocs in terms of priority and interest.
He stressed Israel's inability to maintain an economic or cultural invasion in Egypt, due to Egypt's solid cultural and intellectual merits.
