Aqaba airport for landing Israeli planes is proceeding well

A senior Jordanian official in al-Aqaba district said the experimental phase to use al-Aqaba airport for landing Israeli planes is proceeding well thus far.
Al-Doustour quoted Al-Aqaba Authority chairman Marwan Dodin as saying, "This experiment is supposed to end in the first third of 1998, after which the two sides will evaluate the results." The chairman said the number of planes heading to Israel via Al-Aqaba Airport is expected to reach six after providing the airport with necessary services and staff.
