Hamareneh is secretary general of the Jordanian Communist Party

The central committee of the Jordanian communist Party has elected Dr. Munir Hamareneh as its Secretary General for the coming four years, succeeding Yaqoub Ziadin, who did not nominate himself.
The central committee also elected the communist party political bureau which comprises Muhammad Shqir, Emilei Naffah, Faraj Admira, Abdul Azim Zahdeh, Muhammad Rawabdeh, Abdul Aziz Gleulat, Sami Hamarenh and Radi Zeyadat.
