New Israeli-Turkish arms deals

The Turkish Daily News on Thursday said that Turkey will sell 50 armored vehicles for border monitoring to Israel at a cost of US $10 million. The paper added the agreement was reached between the two sides during the recent strategic talks held between the two countries in Ankara last week.
Israel intends to use these vehicles on the occupied border in South Lebanon following official endorsement of these agreements during the coming months, the report continued.
At the same time Turkey intends to buy 10 Israeli warplanes, and the deal was discussed during the visit made by the Turkey's acting defense minister, Lt. General. Alhan Kalash, to Israel this week.
