Iran is Ready to Negotiate with the United Arab Emirates

During the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meetings, Iran declared its readiness to boost its relations with the United Arab Emirates and build confidence between the two countries. The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that on top of the priorities of Tehran is boosting its relations with the neighboring countries, especially the Gulf countries.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry reiterated the Iranian position regarding the three isles of Abu Moussa, Greater Tanb, and Lesser Tanb. Iran stated that the three isles are Iranian, however it stressed the fact that negotiation is the only way to settle all differences.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Mahmoud Mohamady stated that his country welcomes the concluding statement of the GCC Summit which was held in Kuwait and in which the Gulf countries expressed their readiness to enhance their relations with Iran.
The GCC countries' leaders declared that cooperation among all the countries of the Gulf region is the only way to achieve peace and to maintain stability in the region. The concluding statement of the GCC Summit highlighted Iran's desire to go into direct negotiations with Abu Dhabi.
